Acne: Natural Cures Are Available

Whether you are young or old there is a chance you can still be dealing with the issues of acne. After having tried many of the popular store treatments like Clearasil or blackhead removers you still have acne. You’re out of ideas for what to do next, you have had your mind on some natural remedies but you’re not sure which ones you should try. You will find plenty of natural remedies if you do a quick search on the internet, but I am going to share with you some effective natural remedies that can help you clear some of that acne right up.

Toothpaste:

Toothpaste has been said to help cure acne, but its application has been overused. That doesn’t mean that the method doesn’t work.  The method has been said to be very effective by many people who have used it.  All you have to do is add a spot of toothpaste to your face on the infected parts of your skin.  You should wash your face before applying this technique.  Making sure your skin is as clean as possible will make it easier for the toothpaste to work.  You may want to ask around a bit as certain types of toothpaste have been said to be more effective than others, some people also agree that leaving the toothpaste on overnight is the best approach to see results.

Tea tree oil:

Tea tree oil has been said to be more effective than some antibiotics when it comes to cleaning up the bacteria that causes acne. You can find tea tree oil in several products, but it is better you buy it from a health food store or an online merchant so you can get the best value for your money. Taking tea tree oil will help with the other problems associated with acne as well like redness and inflammation.

Fruit peels:

Fruit peels, especially the peels of oranges and apples are a wonderful source of natural juice that can help clear that acne right up. You want to make sure you apply it the right way though. You can try to be creative and take the peels of several fruits and blend them together to make a thick paste that you can apply to your face. Doing this will make your skin healthy and supply you with a lot of the vitamins you need naturally without having to take them in pill form. Fruits are said to have most of their nutrients in their skin so you can see how this would make sense. Also consider the skin of watermelon, the skin of lemons, and the skin of grapefruits. These types of fruit have the most nutrients in the skin.

Natural remedies are a good way to combat acne problems you may be having. If you apply them correctly you should see some of the benefits. You can always keep looking for more natural remedies if the ones listed do not work for you, but these should help you get started.

Do You Need A College Health Insurance Plan?

When you are finally done with your high school education, there is no doubt that you'll be enrolling into a college. Many times when a child reaches the age of 20, they are no longer covered by their parents' insurance and this can lead to a troubling situation if they are not working and just strictly going to college. However, many colleges offer health insurance plans. Whether one of these insurance plans are right for you or not takes a lot of deliberation.

College health insurance benefits are going to vary from campus to campus. Although many people think that they are free, this is not true. While there is usually no charge for an office visit and routine checkups, the student will have to pay for lab work and other specialist type of visits. Benefits will usually pay completely for only types of covered services at the campus health center. In the event that you have to see an outside doctor then the student's coverage can drop up to 70% and run the risk of being required to pay a high deductible.

If you have a pre-existing condition, then you may have a problem with getting treatment at the college health center. Having a pre-existing illness or disability does not mean that you will be disqualified for obtaining a college health insurance plan, but you may not be able to get treatment for that pre-existing illness. This can lead to a number of problems if a new problem arises and is a product of a pre-existing illness.

All plans are different, so be sure you find out everything you can about your college's plan. Be sure to check if you or your child will be covered during summer break when students are not taking classes. This is important because you don't want to have an accident and find out that the insurance becomes inactive when they are not in class. Many colleges have coverage during summer break, but some do not.

Make sure you understand the plan. Is it an HMO, or can the member use any provider they want? This is just as important because you want to know where you can go in the event of an emergency, and there is nothing worse than finding out after the fact that you will be stuck with paying the full amount for a medical bill.

There really is no definitive answer as to whether you should or shouldn't commit to getting college health insurance. Be sure that you understand your plan fully so that no problems can arise in the event of an emergency. While it is not free insurance, it surely will save you money in the event of an accident or illness.Anti Aging

Disability Insurance

We all know how important typical health insurance is, but did you know that disability insurance is just as important? In the event that you are hurt on the job, and cannot work, disability insurance will give you peace of mind-you will still able to provide for your family. While we would like to think that we always work safely, accidents do happen and you need to be sure that you have every angle covered in the event of an accident. If you become ill or injured on the job and as a result you are unable to return to work, there are a couple of options that will replace lost income. These types of disability insurance are not going to fully replace your income because they want you to have an incentive for returning back to work once you get well.

Social Security benefits are paid to you when your disability is expected to last for at least 12 months. Most of the time this is when no gainful employment can occur and you must remain out of work for the entire duration of your leave. Employer-paid disability is required by almost every state in the United States. This type of disability insurance is deducted from your paycheck, and is there for you in the event of an accident. When you are looking at disability insurance policies, it is important to understand what they mean. While the two available policies are both for disability, they both cover a different amount of time you will be covered, and when you will start receiving your compensation.

A short-term disability policy means that you will be covered for no longer than 2 years. With this policy you may have to wait up to 14 days before you start receiving compensation. A long-term disability policy is a little different. The disability compensation will not kick in for several weeks, sometimes a couple of months. However, long-term disability will cover you for a longer period of time, and sometimes for the rest of your life.

Along with having the two different types of insurance policies, there are also two different protection features. Protection is offered to you to ensure that you are not going to be treated unfairly due to your inability to work. Non-cancelable means that for no reason other than not paying your premiums can your policy be canceled. With this type of policy you will lock in your premium and will not risk a decrease in the benefits. On the other hand, a guaranteed renewable policy means that the same benefits will be available every year. The only way that your premium will be increased is if every policyholder within the same rating class as yourself increases also.

While there are many options when choosing disability insurance as well, these are the most popular selections. It is important to discuss all available options when choosing a disability insurance policy to ensure that you know what you will receive in the event of an accident or illness. Research your options to find the best choice for you and your family. Alternative Medicine

Chinese medicine and Headaches

Headaches are a common health concern among many people. There are thousands of people each year that are diagnosed with chronic migraine headaches. Headaches are not only just painful, but they disrupt one's daily routines. For example, when someone has a severe migraine headache with nausea or light sensitivity they would have to call their work and ask for a sick day. Not only does this affect the employee with the headache, but it also affects the company and its profits.

So how do we help with headaches? There are many different methods to help with headaches. Many times there is medication that is given to alleviate the headaches. However, it all depends what is causing the headache. One alternative method to help alleviate headaches and treat the root of the problem is Chinese medicine.

There are five branches in Chinese medicine, acupuncture, herbs, food therapy, chinese massage, and exercise. A combination of acupuncture, eating right, herbs, and exercise can help with headaches.

According to Chinese medicine theory, there are a few reasons why someone would get a headache. Some of the factors that cause headaches according to Chinese medicine are exterior factors, trauma, and internal organ factors. Exterior factors are wind-cold or wind-heat. The signs and symptoms not only include headaches, but also include common cold signs and symptoms. Internal factors include the internal organs of the body mainly the liver, spleen, and kidney. There is a disharmony between these three organs which in turn may cause a deficiency or excess and will cause a headache. Trauma to the head will certainly cause headaches either acute or chronic. Most chronic headaches like migraine headaches are mainly related to the imbalance of the internal organs.

The treatments that are most effective are acupuncture, herbs, Chinese massage, and nutrition. Utilizing these treatments will treat the root of the problem so there should not be any reoccurring headaches. A Chinese doctor can examine you to determine which is the best method to treat the headaches. However, in my own clinical practice I have found that acupuncture and herbs in combination are effective for the treatment of headaches.

Chinese medicine is an effective method for the treatment of headaches whether they are acute or chronic. We invite all to go to our website to learn more and to make an appointment to come in. Our center is called Master Lu's Health Center and the website is www.luhealthcenter.com

Simple remedy for the common cold

Chinese medicine physicians have been treating the common cold for over 3,000 years. There have been many different herbs and herbal formulas that have been used effectively for the common cold and flu symptoms.

According to Chinese medical theory, the common cold starts from an exogenous pathogenic factor called wind. The wind will attack the body, and if the body's qi or energy isn't strong enough then cold like symptoms will arise. In Chinese medicine we differentiate different types of cold. The most common types of the common cold are called wind-cold or wind-heat.

Wind-cold is a type of common cold with the following signs and symptoms running nose, headache, body aches, cough, clear nasal discharge, floating pulse, and pink tongue. This is a very common type of cold. The use of acupuncture and Chinese herbs are very effective to help overcome this type of cold.

Wind-heat is another common type of common cold in Chinese medicine. The following signs and symptoms include sore throat, running nose with yellowish discharge, headache, body aches, floating and rapid pulse, and red tip on tongue. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs is also very effective to overcome this type of cold.

When someone has a simple cold there are some simple remedies that we can do at home. One remedy is to make ginger tea. Ginger tea will help warm the body and clear up the cold. To make ginger tea get a ginger root and cut it up then boil in a pot and afterwards add some honey. Drink the tea for a few days. If the cold is just starting or not too serious yet, this is a great and natural option to help overcome the cold. If you start to cough and have a sore throat, then you would want to make lemon tea. You would do the same thing for ginger tea, but with lemons. Remeber to add a little honey to sweeten it a little. Both ginger tea and lemon tea are effective simple methods to overcome the common cold.
