Domestic violence is a growing problem for veterans

"The growing number of veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) increases the risk of domestic violence and its impact on families and children in communities in the United States," said Monica Mathieu, Ph.D., a veteran mental health experts and senior lecturer Department of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. "Treatment of Domestic Violence is very different from post-traumatic stress disorder. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), psychiatric care and treatment of PTSD, but these services must be combined with the specialized agencies, domestic violence intervention program of enforcement and for veterans from participating in the aggression against the behavior of couples and families. "

Mathieu and Peter Hovmand, Ph.D., an expert of domestic violence and assistant professor of social work at the University of Washington, will combine their research interests, and we will work for the community to develop prevention strategies to combat this new problem Public Health.

"The increase in the incidence of cranial trauma and substance abuse in connection with post-traumatic stress disorder among veterans presented some unique problems for the community response to domestic violence," said Hovmand.

"The community response to domestic violence should be adapted to the growing number of veterans with PTSD. They are veterans with young families and older veterans with chronic mental disorders."

Even if the demographic structure of population changes, as a veteran of World War II veterans reach their 80's and 90-ies, youth and veterans of the completion of service in Iraq and Afghanistan, the number of living veterans in the United States military strikes. Current estimates indicate that there are 23,816,000 veterans.

Mathieu said that evidence-based psychological treatment programs can be a great resource for physicians to learn to recognize and treat symptoms of PTSD. Nevertheless, the identification of violent behavior among veterans with active symptoms of PTSD may be difficult and may require counseling and referral to domestic violence experts.

During the investigation, VA suggests that male veterans with PTSD in two to three times more likely than veterans without PTSD involved in intimate partner violence, and is likely to be included in the legal system.

"The community violence prevention agencies and services that are veterans of the treatment plan to cope with the aggression of conduct," said Hovmand.

"Veterans need to have multiple suppliers to coordinate assistance available to them, and each vendor is working on the treatment goal. Kommunalnogo coordinated response to this kind of law enforcement agencies, courts, social service agencies, community activists and advocates for women to address the problem of domestic violence. These efforts, the victim and offender accountability of security by promoting intercultural exchange and communication.

"Veteran's Day is an excellent reminder that we need to coordinate the services provided by VA and the community to ensure that our veterans and their families receive the services they need when they need it," Mathieu and Hovmand said.

Mental health charity musical point of Mind, UK

Get your kind of local charity shop Monday through Saturday, 3 November 8 November at the bottom. Mind celebrates the return of music in their tents after they are forced to turn off the music this year, because he risked the appearance of a heavy fine from the implementation of human society (PSO). To celebrate reaching an agreement with the PRS in the cost of a license, mental health charity is a celebration of music in the minds of a week, which aims to more than £ 7000 to cover the annual quota for the sale of all holidays, from old records and sheet music of classical guitar.

In July, the music died when he was a spirit to ask their shops to resume playing on the radio in his room as a gift rating for fear of penalty for the PRS. There is also concern that they will be fined retroactively for the past five years, the cost of hundreds of thousands of pounds. Philanthropy can not afford to create huge amounts of money from their jobs and so had to ask their shops to their radios to rob the music staff and volunteers and the community that they exist.

Reason, with the Association of Charity Shops, beaten has an agreement with the PRS, which means that they are exempt from taxes and last year agreed to pay the amount in each of the 100 branches from today.

Bob Monteath, managing director of Mind stores, said:

"It's great news that once again our staff, volunteers and customers can enjoy having music on in the background as they work or browse. We are really pleased that the Association of Charity Shops has managed to negotiate a reasonable price for a license and hopefully we can raise enough money during Music in Mind week to cover the expense of this so that funds are not diverted away from our work supporting those with mental health problems."

While the music week in the minds of the public are invited to contact the local store for the mind to see what treasures they find music. There must be something that is proposed for all tastes from rock and pop-reggae, and blues, so why not look.

Home Decoration Affecting Placidity

To avoid of getting stress, most people believe that they have to stay in house. Stay away from the crowd, listen to music, and try to relax. It’s working and I have try it. But I think it didn’t work with someone who has discomposure. They always fidgety even they are in their own house. I don’t know you might called it as trauma or mental disorder or whatever it is. They need an help by some physicians.

But the easy and cheap ways to appease their fidgety, I think you have take a look into your furniture inside the house. Meanwhile for bathroom, perhaps you have to make it as simple as you can. I know named of Bathroom Vanities store, it is Spacify.
In here you could buy all you needs for bathroom, but I’m suggestion to not choose much more accessories. You know, try to make it simple and natural but still looked modern.

So I think perhaps you can replace your Bathroom Faucets, Bathroom Sinks, etc. And remove all unnecessary accessories. Spacify products is the best products even if you didn’t put any adornment, it’s still looks super. And some advice maybe could help you is choose white color for your furniture. White is dependable can reduce stress. So now would you believe me that home decoration affecting placidity ?!
